Why we are writing this

Our editorial pieces are where we step back from a single product launch or demo and try to say something about the state of robotics as a whole. They are opinionated on purpose, but still anchored in what the hardware can actually do.

The short version

Humanoid robotics is real, exciting and overhyped in roughly equal measure. The job of a good editor is to tell you which parts are which. This piece is our take today - we will happily update it when better information lands.
