Agili.ai Launches Agili One: Indigenous Humanoid Robot for Indian MSMEs at Rs. 25 Lakhs - RobotWale News

Agili.ai Unveils Agili One for Affordable Indian Automation

Bengaluru-based robotics startup Agili.ai has officially launched the Agili One, a cost-effective humanoid robot designed specifically for the Indian market. The launch addresses the growing demand for affordable automation in the country's massive MSME sector. The robot features a modular design and is powered by an indigenous Large Language Model (LLM) optimized for industrial workflows and regional languages.

Competitive Pricing and Localized Supply Chain

In a strategic move to democratize access to advanced robotics, Agili.ai priced the base model at Rs. 25 lakhs, with enterprise configurations starting at Rs. 35 lakhs. This pricing significantly undercuts imported humanoid robots, which typically cost upwards of Rs. 1.5 crore when accounting for tariffs and logistics. The company highlighted that the Agili One utilizes an 85% localized supply chain, with actuators sourced from Chennai and chassis fabrication handled by vendors in Pune, aligning with government initiatives for domestic manufacturing.

Technical Specifications and AI Capabilities

The Agili One boasts a payload capacity of 10kg and offers 8 hours of operational battery life. A key differentiator is the 'Bhasha-Nav' module, enabling voice command recognition in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and other regional dialects, facilitating seamless integration in diverse work environments. The robot is equipped with a sensory suite including LiDAR and depth cameras, all compliant with ISO 10218 safety standards. It supports ROS 2 and features a no-code programming interface designed for local technicians.

Market Deployment and Strategic Partnerships

Agili.ai announced pilot deployments with three major logistics partners in Maharashtra and Karnataka. The startup recently secured Rs. 120 crores in Series B funding led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and domestic venture capital firms. Agili.ai plans to introduce a leasing model starting Q3 2024, offering the robot for Rs. 75,000 per month with maintenance included, further lowering the barrier to entry for small businesses. The company targets shipping 500 units by the end of the fiscal year, with export plans targeting Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
