Powered by a 48-volt lithium-iron-phosphate battery system, the robot delivers up to eight hours of continuous operation on a single charge. Nexa Robotics has integrated a proprietary perception stack that combines 3D LiDAR, stereo vision, and force-torque sensors to enable precise object manipulation in unstructured environments. The base model is priced at ₹45 lakh (approximately $54,000), a figure the company claims is 60 percent lower than comparable Western alternatives. Domestic Manufacturing and Supply Chain Alignment

Manufactured at Nexa’s new facility in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, the Vayu-1 relies on an indigenous supply chain for 78 percent of its components, including custom servo motors and printed circuit boards.
