India Humanoid Robotics Expo 2024 Announces Global Exhibitors and Domestic Innovation Showcase - RobotWale News
Bengaluru to Host India’s First Dedicated Humanoid Robotics Expo
Organizers confirmed that the India Humanoid Robotics Expo 2024 will take place from March 20 to 22 at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre. The three-day event marks the first dedicated industry gathering focused exclusively on bipedal and quadrupedal humanoid platforms in the country. The expo is co-hosted by the Robotics Society of India, the Department of Science and Technology, and the Karnataka State Electronics and IT Development Authority. The schedule opens with a keynote address from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, followed by a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony.
International Manufacturers and Domestic Startups to Showcase Live Demos
Confirmed exhibitors include Figure AI, Apptronik, and Tesla Robotics, all of whom will bring production-ready units for live navigation and manipulation trials. Indian participants feature Agili.ai, GreyOrange, and startups backed by IIT Madras and IIT Bombay. The exhibition floor will span 25,000 square meters, with dedicated zones for industrial automation, healthcare assistance, and logistics integration. Technical demo slots will run hourly, allowing engineers and procurement teams to evaluate torque density, battery efficiency, and real-time obstacle avoidance in controlled environments.
Pricing, Attendance, and India Relevance
General admission is priced at INR 2,500, while professional and investor passes are available at INR 8,500. Student and academic credentials qualify for a 60 percent discount. The event aligns with the Indian government’s PLI scheme for advanced robotics hardware, aiming to accelerate local supply chains and reduce import dependency. Over 15,000 attendees are projected, including representatives from Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro, and multiple public sector undertakings exploring workforce automation. Local vendors will also supply precision gears, harmonic drives, and custom sensor arrays, fostering a domestic component ecosystem.
Industry Workshops and Policy Roundtables
Parallel programming will feature technical workshops on joint actuators, vision-language models for robot control, and safety certification standards. A dedicated policy track will address data localization, liability frameworks, and labor transition strategies specific to India’s manufacturing and services sectors. Registration remains open through the official expo portal, with early-bird rates ending next month. The event concludes with an awards ceremony recognizing breakthroughs in humanoid mobility, AI-driven task planning, and scalable manufacturing processes.
