India Manufacturing and Supply Chain Integration

Manufactured at a new facility in Chennai, the Kaya-X1 utilizes a supply chain that sources over 70 percent of its components domestically. This includes custom-designed harmonic drives, localized battery packs, and AI processing units developed in partnership with Bengaluru-based semiconductor startups. The company has aligned the platform with the Indian government’s Make in India initiative and the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems.

Market Context and Future Roadmap

India’s humanoid robot market remains in its early commercialization phase, with most high-end systems previously imported at premium prices exceeding ₹50 lakhs. By positioning the Kaya-X1 below the ₹20 lakh threshold, Kaya Robotics aims to accelerate domestic adoption and reduce dependency on foreign robotics hardware. The company has secured Series A funding of ₹65 crores from Mumbai-based venture capital firms and strategic partnerships with two major Indian industrial automation groups.
