Product Launch and Pricing

Alongside the funding announcement, AstraBots unveiled the Astra-1, a 1.6-meter tall bipedal robot designed for industrial automation, warehouse logistics, and light assembly tasks. The company has priced the base model at ₹18 lakhs (approximately $22,000), positioning it as a cost-effective alternative to imported humanoid systems that typically cost over $60,000 in the Indian market. By integrating locally sourced sensors and open-source motion control algorithms, the startup claims a 40 percent reduction in total cost of ownership compared to legacy robotic arms.

The startup has prioritized localization to address India's growing demand for affordable automation.
