India Humanoid Robotics Summit 2025 Draws Record Exhibitors and Launches - RobotWale News
Expo Overview and Key Announcements
The India Humanoid Robotics Summit & Expo 2025 concluded on March 14 in Bengaluru, drawing over 40 domestic and international exhibitors, 12,000 attendees, and government delegates from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The three-day event, organized by the Robotics Society of India in partnership with DPIIT, focused on commercial deployment pathways for humanoid platforms in manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare sectors. Over 150 engineering teams presented live demonstrations, with the opening keynote delivered by the Union Minister of Electronics and IT outlining the National Robotics Mission 2030 targets.
Prototype Unveils and Technical Benchmarks
Leading the product launches was the debut of the Aether-4X collaborative humanoid by Bengaluru-based startup Kinova Robotics, featuring a 43-degree-of-freedom actuator system and a 120-kg payload capacity. Shenzhen-based DeepMotion showcased its lightweight 85-kg variant optimized for warehouse pick-and-place tasks, while Tokyo-based Apptronics demonstrated its latest teleoperation stack compatible with Indian industrial control protocols. All demonstrated real-time SLAM navigation and force-torque feedback loops critical for safe human-robot collaboration. Several exhibitors also unveiled modular end-effectors designed to handle delicate electronics assembly and heavy automotive component transfer.
India Pricing and Policy Integration
Pricing announcements aligned with domestic manufacturing incentives. The Aether-4X base model will retail at ₹28.5 lakh for Indian educational institutions and ₹42 lakh for commercial enterprises, with a 15% discount under the Production Linked Incentive scheme. Logistics-focused variants from DeepMotion are priced between ₹35 lakh and ₹55 lakh depending on sensor configurations. The event also marked the launch of the National Humanoid Deployment Framework, a joint MeitY-industry guideline standardizing safety certifications, data localization requirements, and subsidy eligibility for domestic integrators. State governments in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu confirmed matching capital grants for early adopters.
Commercial Rollout and Next Steps
Exhibitors confirmed pilot programs scheduled across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu by Q3 2025. Several OEMs committed to establishing assembly lines in Karnataka and Telangana to qualify for state-level capital subsidy programs. The expo will host a dedicated procurement forum in New Delhi next month, where public sector undertakings will evaluate tender criteria for humanoid-assisted inspection and assembly workflows. Industry analysts project domestic humanoid shipments to exceed 2,000 units annually by 2027, driven by labor cost optimization and automation mandates in electronics manufacturing.
