Aether Dynamics introduced the 'Aether-1', a 1.7-meter industrial assistant robot priced at ₹18.5 lakh, designed for warehouse automation and last-mile logistics. Meanwhile, Bengaluru-based RoboNex showcased the 'Nex-3 Pro', featuring torque-controlled joints and a ₹24 lakh price tag, targeting manufacturing line integration. A third exhibitor, Chennai-based KinetiX Robotics, demonstrated a modular research platform priced at ₹9.2 lakh for academic institutions.

Industry Partnerships and Government Initiatives

During the summit, the Ministry of Heavy Industries announced a revised PLI scheme extension specifically for humanoid robot actuators and sensor modules. Domestic manufacturers will now receive an additional 15 percent incentive on local component procurement. Several joint ventures were also formalized, including a manufacturing alliance between Indian tech firms and Japanese actuator suppliers to establish a state-of-the-art joint facility in Tamil Nadu by Q4 2024.

International Participation and Future Outlook

While the event emphasized indigenous development, global players including Tesla, Figure AI, and Boston Dynamics also presented live demonstrations. Importantly, the expo introduced a standardized testing framework for humanoid safety and performance, developed by IIT Madras and the National Institute of Standards. Organizers confirmed that the 2025 edition will expand to include a dedicated heavy-load humanoid category and a cross-border export forum targeting Southeast Asian markets.
