The company positions Arya-1 specifically for logistics and manufacturing workflows, emphasizing affordability for Indian small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Arya-1 features 28 degrees of freedom and weighs 45 kilograms. The robot is equipped with a custom silicon vision system capable of navigating unstructured warehouse environments. Power is supplied by a modular battery pack offering four hours of continuous operation. The system runs on NexRobotics' proprietary 'Veda' language model, trained on regional languages and local industrial datasets, enabling voice command execution in Hindi, Tamil, and English.
Pricing and Market Accessibility
The base model of Arya-1 is priced at ₹15,00,000 ($18,000), excluding taxes. This pricing structure places the robot at approximately 60% lower cost than comparable Western humanoid offerings. NexRobotics has confirmed that the unit is eligible under the Government of India's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for advanced hardware. The company plans to offer leasing options starting at ₹45,000 per month to reduce capital expenditure for MSMEs.
Deployment and Partnerships
NexRobotics has secured pilot agreements with three major e-commerce logistics partners for deployment in Q1 2025. The initial use cases focus on pallet handling and inventory scanning. The firm also announced a collaboration with IIT Madras to validate safety protocols for humanoid operation in shared human-workspaces. Production is slated to begin at the company's facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, with a target output of 500 units annually by the end of 2025.
