Humanoid Robotics Asia Expo 2024 Announces Major Indian Manufacturing Partnerships - RobotWale News
Expo Overview and Key Dates
The Humanoid Robotics Asia Expo 2024 will take place at the Pragati Maidan convention center in New Delhi from October 15 to 18, 2024. Organized by the Global Robotics Alliance in collaboration with India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the four-day event will host over 120 international and domestic exhibitors. The expo is scheduled to open to industry professionals on October 15, followed by public access on October 17. Keynote sessions will begin at 09:00 IST each day, focusing on scalable humanoid architectures, advanced actuator systems, and commercial deployment strategies.
India-Centric Manufacturing and Pricing
A central theme of this year’s expo is the localization of humanoid robot production within India. Several major manufacturers have confirmed the establishment of assembly lines in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, aiming to reduce import dependency and lower unit costs. Domestic pricing for entry-level humanoid platforms is expected to range between ₹18 lakh and ₹25 lakh, while advanced industrial variants will be priced between ₹45 lakh and ₹60 lakh. The Indian government’s Production Linked Incentive scheme will cover up to 20 percent of manufacturing costs for participating firms, making the region a strategic hub for cost-effective humanoid deployment across logistics and healthcare sectors.
Product Launches and Industry Demonstrations
Exhibitors will unveil several new humanoid models designed specifically for emerging market conditions. Leading demonstrations include a 165-centimeter bipedal platform optimized for warehouse automation, featuring a 40-kilogram payload capacity and a battery life of six hours under continuous operation. Another showcase will highlight a modular humanoid chassis capable of switching between standing and wheeled locomotion, targeting last-mile delivery applications in dense urban environments. The expo will also host a dedicated startup pavilion where Indian engineering firms will present software stacks for real-time motion planning and tactile feedback integration. Registration for the expo opens on September 1, with early-bird passes priced at ₹5,000 and corporate delegation packages available at ₹35,000 per attendee.
