Pricing and India-Specific Distribution

To accelerate adoption across Indian academic institutions, the consortium has structured a tiered pricing model. Core software access and digital blueprints are provided free of charge to all accredited universities. Physical hardware kits, including pre-calibrated actuators and sensor arrays, are priced at ₹4.25 lakh per unit for Indian academic labs, representing a 60 percent reduction compared to equivalent imported systems. A dedicated distribution channel through IIT Bombay’s technology transfer office will handle logistics and technical support for partner institutions.

Research Roadmap and Industry Impact

The platform will initially focus on gait optimization, fall recovery algorithms, and energy-efficient actuation strategies. TRI and IIT Bombay plan to host a series of quarterly hackathons and simulation challenges, with winning models contributing to the central repository. Industry partners, including several Indian robotics startups and manufacturing firms, have already pledged to fund pilot deployments in vocational training and logistics simulation environments.
