Targeting Manufacturing and Logistics with Competitive Pricing

The investment accelerates Vayu commercial rollout, with first customer deliveries scheduled for Q2 2025. Priced at ₹18 lakhs (approximately $21,500), the Vayu-X1 is positioned to undercut imported alternatives by nearly 40 percent. The unit features a 12-hour battery life, torque-controlled joints rated for 25-kilogram payloads, and proprietary vision-language models fine-tuned for warehouse and factory floor operations. Vayu has already secured pilot contracts with two major Indian logistics firms and an automotive components manufacturer in Tamil Nadu. The robot control architecture runs on a custom Linux-based real-time OS, processing sensor data through edge-compute modules that reduce latency to under 10 milliseconds. This technical approach allows the Vayu-X1 to navigate dynamic environments without relying on cloud connectivity, a critical requirement for Indian factories with inconsistent network infrastructure. Domestic Supply Chain and Future Roadmap

Over 70 percent of the Vayu-X1 bill of materials will be sourced from Indian suppliers, leveraging government production-linked incentives for advanced robotics. The startup plans to open a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Hosur by mid-2025, aiming for an output of 1,200 units annually.
