India Humanoid Robotics Expo 2024 Announced for Bengaluru with Global Giants and Domestic Startups - RobotWale News

India Hosts First Dedicated Humanoid Robotics Expo in Bengaluru

RobotWale.com confirms that the Robotics Society of India (RSI), in partnership with the Karnataka State IT & Electronics Development Authority (KSIDA), has officially launched the India Humanoid Robotics Expo (IHRE) 2024. The event is scheduled for November 15-17, 2024, at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre. This marks the first major global gathering in South Asia exclusively focused on bipedal and quadrupedal humanoid systems, signaling India's strategic entry into the rapidly expanding humanoid market.

Global OEMs and Domestic Innovators Take Center Stage

The expo will host live demonstrations and technical sessions featuring leading global OEMs, including representatives from Tesla, Figure AI, and Boston Dynamics. Indian innovation will be highlighted by startups such as Astribot and Bengaluru-based Symbios Robotics, who will showcase localized solutions for elder care and logistics. The agenda includes the 'Humanoid Supply Chain Summit' on Day 1, focusing on domestic sensor and actuator production, while Day 2 addresses 'Humanoid in Healthcare' with assistive robot demos. Day 3 features an 'Investor Pitch Arena' for early-stage robotics ventures.

Pricing, Accessibility, and Make in India Focus

Admission pricing is structured to encourage broad industry participation. General entry is priced at ₹1,500, with VIP access including exclusive networking dinners at ₹5,000. The comprehensive 'Industry Leader' pass, which grants access to all workshops and B2B matchmaking, is ₹25,000. Student tickets are available at ₹500 with valid identification. Early bird registrations conclude on October 30, 2024.

The Government of India has designated a special pavilion for 'Make in India' humanoid components, supported by sponsors like Tata Electronics and Wipro. During the inauguration, officials from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) are expected to announce new subsidies for domestic humanoid assembly units. Industry analysts project that with these incentives and local manufacturing, the total cost of ownership for light industrial humanoids in India could fall below ₹15 lakhs annually by 2025, significantly undercutting imported alternatives and accelerating adoption across Indian SMEs.
